VINS comes to Tuesdays in the Trees

Hi all-

After visiting the VINS campus, a VINS teacher came to visit again in our outdoor classroom. We learned about how animals use their senses to survive. Here are some photos of students practicing using their sense of touch. It was a chilly, fun day in the trees.

VINS trip!

Hi all-

Last week we visited the VINS campus. In science, we are learning about how animals have adapted to their environments to help them survive so we did some learning in their new outdoor classroom, participated in some activities on the canopy walk, and got to explore!  We will continue this unit in our classroom but it was really fun to link learning to the animals right outside our window.

Best,

3H Pumpkin Patch

Hi all-

Due to Thursday's cancellation of the field trip, we had a day full of festive activities and learning. Students leaned about the cranium and the jaw then made their own mask of a skull. We watched a movie called "Spookily the Pumpkin" that tells the story of a square shaped pumpkin that is picked on because of it's differences. We created our own unique pumpkins and added them to the 3H pumpkin patch. Here are some photos of our patch of unique pumpkins!

See you all for parent teacher conferences next week!
